At the end of January 2019 we were really lucky to visit the Norfolk Record Office and view the original plans for the Waterways and Boating Lake. Designed by the Borough Surveyor, Mr S P Thompson, they were really fascinating to see!
The archivists had also found us a set of drawings from Great Yarmouth in 1926. Possibly one of the 9 proposals for an employment relief project after the First World War? Imagine a ‘Nelson Gardens’ river caves!
