The local community has played a vital role throughout the restoration and beyond.

Their investment of time and energy is why this seven-acre public park is well kept – loved and visited by so many people each year.

Our friendly and amazing volunteers support horticultural tasks, site maintenance, painting of structures, litter picking and even supporting the running of the Island café.
